Well, that was an unplanned and unexpected month or so away from here. Turns out, not so compatible with the last stages of editing and rewriting a dissertation. But that is now in, and I have reached the Island and don’t need to think about it again for another six weeks.

In the meantime, my Wellington books have gone away (and gosh doesn’t the room look a bit less cluttered with them all on a shelf again!), I’m emptying my brain with the use of the third of the bloodthirsty unicorns books (Skandar and the Chaos Trials), and beginning to think of crafting again.
I’d forgotten what it was like to have so much free time. To have evenings with which to while away doing nothing much. To have the time and energy to pick up Tiny’s toys a bit more often. I just have to catch up on the sleep I lost with late nights trying to organise formatting.
I might even have a go at cross stitch again. I can’t remember the last time I stitched something. Or crochet, for that matter. Haven’t even played with papercrafts since early April. Mind you, I’m not sure what I’m going to do with myself now: I’ve been doing some form of studying since autumn 2022, and I don’t have any new modules or otherwise lined up, now I’ve finished my MA.
Just enjoy having time for my hobbies for a bit, I expect. At least until I find out how bad (or good, I suppose: you never know) my dissertation was.
Worrying about the future can be a Future Me problem.
Congratulations on completing your dissertation! Enjoy the pause 😊
