2025.36: After the Holidays

I’d say Back to School, but I’m not. Not this year. Or, at least, not this term. On the other hand the end of the summer holidays does mean that routines can be re-established since all the playgroups and things restart.

Soon I should also have my own desk again, which might help with non-Tiny-related routines. Particularly, that should help with getting back to papercrafting, because doing that on the floor or on the sofa is not exactly easy. There’s also the fun of planning a new crafting space.

I do like trying to plan how and where to put all my supplies. And finding new (to me) storage solutions. I’m currently trying to work out how a pegboard might be of use.

I find planning a well-organised crafting space very soothing. Whether the final space actually looks like the plan is another matter, of course, and it naturally never stays that way, but the planning is calming. And then hunting down suitable bits of furniture. Previously I’ve used IKEA’s Kallax units, like so many other crafters, but these have been repurposed for other things, so, sadly, I must rethink. Besides, the Kallax units don’t really fit with my new space.

Such a shame.

Mind you, it also gives me another opportunity to (pretend) to go through my supplies and see if there’s anything I can donate. (Spoiler: there probably isn’t.)
