2024.24: Crafting Again

I’ve been thinking that I need to make Tiny a new colouring book for some time now. Probably all through May, if not longer. The one I made for Christmas has long since been scribbled all over. And it mostly had festive images.

That one I’d made simply by cutting and folding A4 pages into quarters. And then pricking my fingers and thumbs stitching down the centre.

This time, however, I have since found a die set by Miss P Loves for making small journals, without having to do any of the stitching. No glue, either, so it’s easy to add or remove pages. It was in a Papercraft Society box from the now sadly defunct CraftStash (I don’t know if its replacement, CraftWorld, will bring Papercraft Society back, but I hope so).

Much easier to make a little book now. And much faster, even with having to carefully line up the dies with the edge of the folds.

And then I spent a happy forty minutes or so watching Star Trek (Deep Space Nine, if you’re interested) and stamping images for Tiny to colour. Some new stamps, some old ones.

It’s a little smaller than the previous A5 sized books I’ve made, which probably means it will fit better with the small bag of colouring pencils and crayons. At some point I will make a proper little bag for all sorts of little distractions for when we’re out and about.

But I can see that I will be making good use of these dies.
