This was to be my penultimate Joy of Crafting. But I’ve discovered, over the course of the summer, that though I enjoy crafting, I’m less keen on writing about crafting. So this shall be the last Joy of Crafting. At least, the last one of this series.
Admittedly, it might also be the struggle of trying to find something new to write about crafting each week. It’s not like I’ve done as much crafting as I’d wanted and planned to. Instead I’ve been completing crafting kits, mostly card ones from Stampin’ Up!, though there was also the embroidery kit.

I like the crafting kits, especially the card ones. Takes all the trouble of designing out of card-making, which is where I tend to waste time in the craft-room, and then run out of time before Tiny wakens, or gets bored, and demands attention. On the other hand, I do then whizz through the kits quite quickly, and then I’m back to struggling to decide what to do.
I started a sketchbook of card and scrapbook sketches, back at the start of the summer, but I didn’t get as far with it as I wanted. Nor have I really looked at it since putting it aside. Or used the sketches yet, although that has more to do with the kits than not using the sketchbook. But also the mess in the craft room, and M taking it over as his office. Thief.
Soon, though, I hope to have reorganised my craft supplies and re-established a proper crafting space again. One which I can use more often, and where I can rediscover my crafting joy again. With any luck.
Perhaps I’ll find some new papercrafting projects to undertake. Some new things to write about with crafting.
